Following a successful career as a Financial Adviser with NatWest, Andy joined Savills Private Finance as a Mortgage Broker and in August 2000 helped set up Square Mile Mortgage Finance Limited. In addition to his managerial responsibilities, Andy still actively advises his top 100 clients and prides himself in providing a first class service.
Andy has been married to Janine for 16 years and has two sons Jake and Nathan. Currently living in East Ewell, Andy’s spare time revolves around keeping fit and managing his son’s football team.

Steven Smith

Steve has been in the financial service arena since 1987 as a Senior Consultant with Barclays and NatWest initially before specialising in the Mortgage market with Savills, Hamptons and Square Mile. Being a co-founder of SMMF Ltd, he is passionate about the level of service and relationships forged with his clients and still advises an impressive client bank even though his main responsibilities are to ensure a smooth business operation.
Steve is married to Liz, with a daughter Isabel (16) and son George (12) who account for most of his weekend activities. All sports are Steve's main love, and at his age (44) is known for being the "Competitive Dad " !!

Raff Federico

Raff has been in the mortgage and financial services industry since 1994 and joined Square Mile in 2000. He specialises in all types of mortgages; residential, buy to let and commercial / development finance. He has built up an extensive client bank by looking to provide a top quality service and build long term relationships with his clients.
Raff lives in Walton on Thames with his wife and two children. He enjoys playing all sports including football and cricket as well as following his beloved Arsenal.

Nick Harris

After gaining his initial financial services experience as a mortgage adviser with the Woolwich, he joined NatWest as a Financial Planning Manager and enjoyed 6 successful years in this role. Nick has been with Square Mile since inception in August 2000 and is now an Associate Director. He advises his established client bank on all types of mortgages whilst continuing to receive new introductions from a range of professional introducers. Nick prides himself in building close working relationships and adding value for all of his clients.
Nick lives near Orpington with his wife Jacqui and their baby daughter Annabelle. When not enjoying corporate golf days, his other interests include playing badminton and watching Fulham FC.

Karen Young

Karen has worked in the mortgage industry since 1988. She joined Square Mile in 2001 having left the Halifax where she was a senior underwriter/team leader in their Premier Mortgage Department.
Karen builds relationships with her clients by offering them a tailor made premier service. In addition, to enjoying the daily challenges her clients provide, Karen also enjoys socialising, regular visits to the gym, and summer holidays. Karen lives in Romford with her cat called Kevin

Steven Ashbrook

Steve has been in the industry since 1987 and previously worked for the Halifax for over 15 years where he gained a wealth of experience in sales and administration.
He lives in South London with his partner Samantha and family. Steve enjoys keeping fit, football and socialising.

Tanya Elgie
Operations Manager |
Tanya started working at the Halifax in 1988 where she quickly gained a wealth of knowledge about mortgages.
Square Mile then persuaded Tanya to join them in 2001 and within a short amount of time, she ended up running the admin team and taking on additional responsibilities. Her role is now as the Operations Manager dealing with the day-to-day running of the office and looking after a number of consultants, lenders and introducers.
Tanya enjoys socialising, football and travel. In her spare time, Tanya is studying a part time course in Indian head massage and sports massage therapy (this is to keep Square Mile staff nicely relaxed!) Tanya lives in New Malden with her cat Smirnoff – need we say more!
